CHEZ VICTOR RE-OPENS

Part of famous Biagio Group of restaurants.  Chez Victor one of the oldest restaurants in London, having opened its doors in 1901 is about to re-open after a fire devastated the site in 2007.

Chez Victor will include

• Seating for 120 over three floors
• Private dining and meeting space with audio visual

The kitchen led by chefs Emmanuel Fillaudeau and Gilberto Podda will serve food from Mediterranean heavily influenced by traditional French and Italian classics such as seafood pasta Al Cartoucio cooked in parchment paper will be the house spaciality as are sauteed frog's legs and Calf's liver with a white wine and onion reduction served with polenta.  Desserts will also be traditional with Pear Tatin, Crepe Suzette there will also be the traditional dishes of pasta that Biagio Group is famous for.  Both chefs are passionate about traditional cooking using ingredients sourced from artisan farmers and producers both from here and also Italy and France.  This reflects the style that the Biagio Group has long since been know for.

To compliment the menu, an extensive wine list has been compiled to reflect the wide range of flavours and styles produced in the are of southern France and the Italian Riviera, such as Gevrey Chambertin and Brunnello di Montalcino Biondi Santi Riserva. Chez Victor will be opening after a refit designed by architect Cristano Boarini of Habitat  Italiana, and he has been able to take the building into the twenty first century.  A light spacious restaurant over three floors, great care has been taken to add as much extra light as possible to the restaurant.  He has also been able to include some of the history og the building, such as signatures and photographs of some of the famous people who have frequented it over the years, such luminaries as Rex Harrison, Vivien Leigh and Robert Redford, which has been turned into bespoke wallpaper cleverly they have left two walls free so today's luminaries will not feel left out.

The Private Rooms, located on the fisrt and second floor, these spaces will hold 30 seated and 50 for cocktail parties.  These rooms are also available for meetings and castings and outbreak rooms, they will also be available for photoshoots.  It has audio visual to show presentations and all matter of media.
